July 1973 Madison Square Garden stills were published online
Stills from a previously unseen video of Led Zeppelin backstage at the band’s July 1973 Madison Square Garden shows in New York were published on the band’s official forum this week. Let’s hope the powers that be within the Led Zeppelin camp consider releasing the actual video in the future.

1962 letter from Jimmy Page went unsold at auction
Last week we brought you news that a 1962 letter from Jimmy Page to his US pen pal was up for auction.
The auction closed on June 8 and the letter went unsold after no bids were placed on it. It had an estimate of between $30,000 and $50,000 and a minimum opening bid of $10,000 which may have deterred some potential buyers.
Robert Plant and Alison Krauss released a live version of ‘When The Levee Breaks’
Robert Plant and Alison Krauss released a cover of “When The Levee Breaks” this week, their first release since the album Raise The Roof in 2021.
The single seems to be a live recording, judging from the crowd noise in the background and it presumably originates from a show Plant and Krauss played in either 2022 or 2023. setlist.fm data means we can narrow the contending shows down to 66 different dates.
The single seems to cut off the beginning of the song and then fades out midway through the song too, ending at four minutes whereas their live covers of “When The Levee Breaks” typically last for at least eight minutes.
Robert Plant and Alison Krauss are back on tour
Robert Plant and Alison Krauss are back on the road, beginning this year’s tour with a June 2 show in Tulsa, Oklahoma before performing in Camdenton, Missouri on June 4, in Lincoln, Nebraska on June 5, in Prior Lake, Minnesota on June 7 and in Madison, Wisconsin on June 8.

Robert Plant and Alison Krauss have been speaking to the press
As well as releasing their cover of “When The Levee Breaks” to build up interest for their tour, Robert Plant and Alison Krauss have also been speaking to the press.
They were interviewed by Billboard and appeared on NPR’s “Weekend Edition Saturday” show.
During the Billboard interview, Plant was asked whether there are things fans will learn from watching the documentary film “Becoming Led Zeppelin”.
“Maybe. I’m not sure,” Plant said. “I saw some bits of it a while back. It’s taken from very early on.”

Signs of life at Bloodmoney
Long term readers of LedZepNews will know that we track all of the companies linked to Led Zeppelin and the band members. We’re now aware of more than 50 businesses connected to the band covered in this exhaustive article.
One of the biggest mysteries is Bloodmoney, a UK company Plant set up in May 2023. We still don’t know what the business is for, but this week a filing revealed that Plant has seemingly hired top entertainment industry accountant Richard Barry Rosenberg who is now a director at the business alongside Plant.
Filings show Rosenberg’s other clients including Harry Potter author J. K. Rowling, drummer Carl Palmer and art dealer Konrad Bernheimer. Rosenberg is also a trustee of the Teenage Cancer Trust.
